Altinkaya Holiday Village Review - 9 of 50 Reviews

This was my first time staying at the Altinkaya Hotel, even though I have been to North Cyprus more than once. I stayed for five days and I was very impressed with everything about the hotel, the staff were friendly and efficient and they were extremely hospitable making me feel very welcome throughout my stay.

It was like a little community, and everyone seemed to get on very well. The food is very basic but it is still nice, it isn't a five star north cyprus hotel so do keep in mind that you get what you pay for. The decoration in the hotel is of a very good quality, all of the duplexes have been remodelled and my room was very clean.

There is a nice swimming pool with deckchairs for sunbathing, I spent a lot of time relaxing and reading here even though the weather wasn't great. There is also free internet access which is good, as a lot of hotels make you pay for this service. There is a car rental shop opposite the hotel offering very good deals on rentals. If your holiday package does not include airport transfers, and as long as you rent a car with them for a week, they will provide you with a cheap transfer service. I got my deal for £25, but I am sure that rates will be different depending on the time of year that you are there so make sure that you check first.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again, because it is cheap and cheerful, but very good value for money and great base in northern cyprus.
