Altinkaya Holiday Village Review - 3 of 50 Reviews

I chose to stay in the Altinkaya on my second visit to North Cyprus and did not regret it at all. I stayed for one week and enjoyed the friendly and very hospitable atmosphere the hotel staff engendered.

Most Guests seem to be on first name terms with each other and their hosts rather more quickly that one would find in other hotels. The food is of a good standard but basic so don't expect 4* or 5* variety. The Duplexes have been renovated and are of a good quality. The hotel and rooms are clean, tidy and functional and offer competitive rates considering it is located only one mile from the centre of Kyrenia and very close to Bellapais with its famous Abbey. The complex has its own large swimming pool with sun loungers; the perfect place to relax with a good book. Internet access is provided free through a computer terminal tucked away around the corner from the reception.

Opposite the hotel is A-One-Rent-A-Car where you can obtain a good deal. If you have arranged a holiday without the all inclusive travel packages airport transfers, then A1 will provide an airport transfer service for only £25 each way, as long as you hire a car from them for one week! Not a bad deal, I can assure you.

I recommend this hotel as a good starting point when exploring North Cyprus for the first time.
