Ada Beach Hotel Review - 16 of 33 Reviews

I've previously been to North Cyprus and found it to be a beautiful, unspoilt area. This time, my husband and I stayed at the Ada Beach Hotel. We paid a fair amount of money for a 3 star hotel and on face value, the place seemed worth the money. However, once we scratched the surface, we found a lot of things to be lacking.

It is obvious that the Ada Beach has been through some fairly recent renovations. The rooms have a lick of paint and some new furniture, but it seems that the owners have done it in a rush, or rather cheaply, because if you look carefully, none of the decoration has been done very well and there were a lot of things which had escaped their attention. For example, in our bathroom, we had an incredibly noisy toilet which meant that at night we were really reluctant to flush it in case we woke each other, or the neighbours! Our sea view did make up for what the room lacked though.

The hotel facilities are pretty good: the pool area is large enough to comfortably fit all of the guests without it seeming crowded. In fact there are sun loungers around the pool and beyond it. This appealed to us when we didn't want to be disturbed by the noises from children splashing in the pool. The hotel restaurant is average but not very well organised.

The location of the Ada Beach is absolutely beautiful and the grounds of the hotel are a real asset. This is by far the best feature of the hotel and with a bit more care and attention, the hotel owners could match the rest of the hotel to this. However, until they do so, we probably won't be returning.
