Ada Beach Hotel Review - 15 of 33 Reviews

The hotel we stayed in (the Ada) was surprisingly good considering what we paid to stay there. All of the staff were friendly throughout our stay and managed to call us by name (a feat I found especially impressive because I have serious difficulty remembering names and faces when first meeting people.) There are a relatively small number of rooms at the Ada, so we got to know the other visitors quite quickly. It's always nice to make friends abroad, particularly with people who have stayed in your hotel before. It gave us peace of mind about our stay at the Ada, as well as some familiar faces with which to share anecdotes at the end of the day!

It's difficult to comment accurately on the quality of the food served at this hotel, although the prices seemed fair enough for North Cyprus. We didn't really eat inside the hotel because there are so many restaurants nearby and we wanted to try as many places as possible. If you can afford to eat out, we would recommend doing the same as we enjoyed an awful lot of great food! The Bellapais Abbey Gardens was probably our favourite venue, although it had stiff competition from some other restaurants nearby.

Stray cats are rife in and around this hotel, and also in Northern Cyprus tourist areas, so your personal opinion on felines might play a significant part in deciding where you want to stay. We have several cats of our own and really enjoyed feeding the strays- however we understand that not everyone is fond of them (some are borderline feral) and some consideration of this is necessary beforehand.

Despite this minor point, we have sent friends to stay at the Ada Hotel recently and they came back with nothing but good things to say about it. I suppose that's as good a reason as any to pay the place a visit yourself!
