White Pearl Hotel Review - 1 of 3 Reviews

The White Pearl was small and quaint and comfortable. However, it didn't have an exclusive feel that you would expect from a 'boutique' hotel. It could be that I was expecting it to match that of boutique status in the UK, but there were no luxury touches that you associate with it.

The overall décor in the hotel was 'homely' and comfortable. It was also clearly quite traditional; it didn't have the swish feel that a larger hotel might have.

The hotel itself has a fantastic location; being so close to shops and views of the castle, it was perhaps the best possible place to have a hotel. Being small, it did allow you to relax and feel, at times, like you were one of the only people staying there. We were certainly never disturbed by anyone.

The rooms were clean and comfortable with good facilities, including shower slippers and a fridge. The best thing about our room was its balcony which had enough room for us to sit and watch the world go by. In addition to the balcony, the hotel had a roof terrace which had perhaps the best views in all of Kyrenia, and being on top, it almost felt like you weren't at a hotel at all. The only down side to the room was the fact that the bathroom was relatively small and the drainage system was pretty useless.

Finally, the staff were incredibly friendly. That is definitely a plus of staying in a hotel. They were very attentive and helpful. They also served an excellent variety at breakfast.
