Vouni Palace Hotel Review - 13 of 22 Reviews

I came back from staying at the Vouni Palace, North Cyprus, a week ago and have mixed things to say about my stay. I've never been there before and booked because the hotel we usually go to was fully booked. On face value, the hotel is very chic and it's certainly clean but the extra touches you'd expect from a 5 star hotel just weren't there.

Our room was comfortable and clean and did have some luxury to its décor. The air conditioning also worked well but the bathroom hadn't been tended to with the same kind of care. The bathroom suite was old and some of the tiles were cracked.

The hotel food was very plentiful. We stayed on an all inclusive basis so had no choice but to eat in the hotel restaurant. We were never disappointed by the choice but the quality wasn't there. We didn't really have any dining experiences; it was more like somewhere to refuel. We did, however, enjoy the breakfast as the choice at the hot buffet was better than most hotels I've stayed at.

The Vouni Palace had some facilities which suited a 5 star hotel, such as the casino next door and the large swimming pools. The entertainment, on the other hand, was like something from a holiday camp- with bingo being the most popular choice!

It was really hard to put my finger on what I disliked about the hotel because all in all we had a fabulous holiday. We just felt that after paying so much money, we should have been given more.

We booked our holiday through Go North Cyprus and although we will not return to the Vouni Palace, we will still certainly use them as a booking agent again. They were really friendly and very helpful. A special thanks to Gary for getting us a holiday so last minute.
