This is a hotel review for Sofia Boutique Hotel in Kyrenia, North Cyprus
“Very basic but good value”
If you don't mind going back to basics, this is the hotel for you. I booked a break here through gonorthcyprus, mainly for the location, but also because the price was too good to pass up. The hotel is situated right in the middle of things, which makes it an excellent base for getting around Kyrenia's main sights. It's quite an old-fashioned establishment but that didn't really bother me - the room was clean and functional, the bathroom needed a bit of TLC but that's about I could suggest for improvements. The staff are very friendly and breakfast was good and filling every morning. It's quite literally a minute's walk to the harbour and many of the other main attractions in the city. If you're a light sleeper I'd advise asking for a room that doesn't face the mosque to the east, as the call to prayer in the early morning may disturb you. Overall very pleased with the price and value I received.
Liked — Well-run hotel, very clean, pleasant staff, filling breakfast.
Disliked — Bathroom needs updating but not a dealbreaker.
