“Simple charm, excellent value”
If you enjoy authentic and traditional charm when you go on holiday, the Sofia Hotel fits the bill. Very well located just a couple of minutes away from Kyrenia's harbour, Sofia really is like a blast from the past and so different from the many high-rise modern hotels. We found the hotel on GoNorthCyprus.com and were impressed with the reviews, we wanted somewhere cosy and quaint, rather than a large impersonal resort. Well, we got what we wanted, with the added bonus of a fantastic location. The staff here are friendly and warm, the buffet breakfast is decent and the attractions are very close by. The hotel does need a little TLC and it won't suit travellers expecting spacious and modern rooms but it did us fine and we enjoyed our stay.
Liked — Great location and very attentive staff
Disliked — Nothing, though the rooms could do with a bit of updating
