Sofia Boutique Hotel Review - 3 of 9 Reviews

My favorite thing about the Sofia Hotel hotel is its location. My husband and I have visited Northern Cyprus several times in the past, and this is the second time staying at Sofia. We found it to be ideal for us, as we like to sightsee and prefer to walk. Here, we found everything we wanted to see (including the harbour, castle, and downtown area) to be very easy to get to on foot.

In addition, we found the hotel itself to be delightful. Our room was beautifully decorated with antique furniture and was exceptionally clean. The entire Sofia hotel appeared to have been recently refurbished, in fact. The lobby was spic and span and contained some lovely pieces of furniture. The bar had a wonderful ambiance and also had some beautiful art pieces on the walls, which caught my eye immediately. The bar also seemed to be well-known in the general area, as locals sometimes stopped in for drinks from time to time, which made it more interesting for us, as it gave us more opportunities to socialize. Hotel bars are notoriously boring usually, but this one was not!

There's a nice little pool that provides some relaxation during the day if you're so inclined and it's very picturesque and clean. The dining room food was delicious, so no worries there. Also, the staff was super helpful and anything we needed, they went out of their way to provide it for us.

We decided we want to stay here again next year. As I mentioned earlier, we visit north cyprus often but always have stayed outside of town in other hotels in the past. After visiting Sofia, we have decided we love the location and everything else about this hotel. We highly recommend it.
