Ship Inn Hotel Review - 2 of 40 Reviews

The Ship Hotel was dreadful, the food and drinks were very expensive and they had a total monopoly as there was absolutely nowhere to go outside of the hotel. Nearest supermarket was a fifteen minute walk.

On the 3 days that we stayed our room was never cleaned before 4.30 in the afternoon, we had to ask to be shown how to use the room safe 3 times, a party of 23 arrived on what I assume was a company bonding weekend and took over the pool for their silly games.

The only good point was the lovely sunshine

To top it all off on Saturday 30th April we were woken at 2.30 in the morning by another guest entering our room with his room key. (He actually got into the room, he was very apologetic surely each room should not have other keys that fit). After a totally sleepless night on Saturday wondering what would happen next, we decided to check out, we did try and explain to the man on reception what had happened but he didn't seem to understand or choose not to understand and a shrug of the shoulders was all we got as an apology. I wonder if there is any refund from The Ship for our night intrusion!!!

To be honest we probably could have put up with most of it, but a man coming into our room in the early hours of the morning was really frightening and the last straw for us.

All in all 3 awful days in a depressing and expensive 3 star hotel. Really disappointing.

We had stayed in Southern Cyprus before and we were lucky enough to book the Mediterranan Beach Hotel, where we have stayed before for the remainder of our holiday.

We are still awaiting a response to our emails of complaint from The Ship Hotel.
