Riverside Holiday Village Review - 13 of 30 Reviews

My wife and I spent about a week here at Riverside Holiday Village recently. This was not our first trip here and it won't be our last to north cyprus, as we love it here. Since we are an older couple, we are looking more for relaxation and peace and quiet. This hotel delivers that. It's the perfect setting for a romantic getaway for a young couple; or for older couples like us, a relaxing vacation in a peaceful and tranquil setting. This hotel is set amidst beautiful and lush gardens just below the northern cyprus Kyrenia mountains; my wife and I enjoyed many leisurely walks here. We were here in late winter but were told that in springtime, the gardens are bursting with color and fragrance from the many varieties of flowers. We do plan to come back at that time in order to enjoy the beauty of this place again when the flowers are in bloom.

The staff here at Riverside is exceptionally friendly and we had no language barriers, as they all speak English well. Without exception, everyone is friendly and helpful and they remembered us from our previous visit, well over two years ago. Impressive!

Another thing we liked about the riverside holiday village is the fact that they have three swimming pools and one is exclusively for adults, so you can get in the pool without having to endure endless splashing as children are prone to do. Although we found it to be very relaxing during our stay, I imagine that during the school holiday season, it can be quite busy here and obviously if they have an 'adults-only' pool, then there must be lots of children here at times. No problem for us, as we always come here when school is in session; just keep the school holiday schedules in mind when booking at the riverside.
