“Amazing Hotel”
My girlfriend and I arrived late in the evening at the Pia Bella Hotel. We were greeted with welcoming smiles and an offer of food. Being late we decided food was a great idea. We had the dining room mostly to ourselves, and as a first romantic night it was perfect. When we arrived in our rooms it was big and clean.
It took until the next day to realise we had a mountain view. For the first day we sat around the two pools, had a few drinks, and enjoyed a walk through the garden. We found you could exchange money at the hotel, which was quite helpful. My girlfriend and I decided to take the 20 minute walk to the harbour. The path is a little steep, but well worth the trek. We found plenty of places to view the sea from, a romantic walk, and locals in the area.
We found out by accident that the bar staff are happy to order you a taxi even if you are close to the place. The staff at the hotel was also very helpful in supplying us with ideas. My girlfriend and I spent a day at the Karpas Peninsula on their recommendation. The climb to St Hilarion was another trek up a steep slope, but well worth the views. Farmagusta is a boat ride away. It is well worth a little expense to see the rest of North Cyprus. We really did not have anything to complain about regarding the hotel, service, or area. It was all very well laid out, even if the rooms were a little older and in need of renovation.
