I have just returned from a girly holiday staying at the Onar Holiday Village. We were after a short, relaxing break, somewhere reasonably priced and I do believe that we got exactly that!

The Onar was well presented with lovely gardens. It was very peaceful and had a relaxing feel. On the negative side, it was set quite far back from local amenities and most visits out required a taxi ride. However, as we were keen to do fairly little, it didn't bother us too much. Also, being far out gave it that at-one-with-nature feel. We were also really pleased with the fact that it was quaint and remained unique and traditional in decoration. Some might regard it as a bit dated but we all felt that it had character.

The rooms were very clean and well kept; they were relatively basic with not many facilities but were comfortable enough. The rooms were what we expected for the price we paid. The hotel facilities were very good, particularly the large indoor and outdoor pools.

We felt that the staff were very friendly but not overwhelming (which for us was a plus!), but when we needed information etc, they were very obliging.

The food was good with a fair choice for dinner. Breakfast was relatively basic but I will say that everything was fresh and we felt that it was prepared and served in a clean environment. We loved sampling the food in the beautiful local restaurants, even if it meant a taxi journey to reach them.

Although my comments seem somewhat underwhelmed, my friends and I couldn't fault the Onar. It was exactly what we expected from the pictures we had seen and the price we paid. And because of that, we were not disappointed.
