This is a hotel review for Onar Holiday Village in Kyrenia, North Cyprus

“Lovely location, quiet at night”

Our room at the Onar was clean and had a small balcony overlooking the harbour. Food in the restaurant was good, also at local restaurants such as 6 Brothers and at restaurants in Kyrenia itself. Beers were OK price, and much needed in the heat! The outdoor pool was clean and clear and perfect for cooling off. The Onar had a gym and indoor pool which was deserted when we were there but is good to have onsite if you go in winter.

The village has lots of steps from one area to another, but most of the guests were zooming around despite advancing years - must be the brandy sours!

The walk into Kyrenia was down a very steep hill, so we caught the free hotel bus down during the day and a taxi back at night. Found some great bars in Kyrenia, as the hotel was a bit quiet at night for our tastes.

Liked — warm weather, beers, pool
Disliked — taxi rides back - kept reminding me I was sooo unfit!
