Merit Crystal Cove Hotel Review - 26 of 51 Reviews

Our 4th visit to North Cyprus and our second stay at the Merit Crystal Cove. Superb location and spotlessly clean and tidy. Even the chair and cushion coverings from the lilttle alcoves scattered around the pool and gardens were changed every day. Having cruised a fair bit over the years we have been used to good quality food. The food at the Merit even outshone the cruise food. The choices were unbelievable. At least a dozen different types of fresh bread, home made jams, a large cheese counter and so many varieties of fresh salads and cold meats. Omeletes made while you wait were mouth watering and that's just for breakfast. Lunch and Dinner were also full of variety with so much to choose from. I defy anyone to say they couldn't get what they wanted!

I personally enjoyed the turkish tea and coffee but the lobby bar had an excellent machine producing every type of fresh coffee you could wish for. You didn't just have to eat in the Crystal Restaurant either. There were 4 other locations scattered in the grounds serving a la carte meals which were also all inclusive. To say you are spoilt for choice at the Merit is an under statement.

The rooms were large and spacious and it was lovely on our arrival at 10.00 p.m. to find a bottle of wine and a selection of fruit in our room. The reception staff even went the extra mile to produce a lovely meal for us which we eat out on the terrace under the stafs. We certainly loved the fresh rose petals scattered on our bed one evening during our stay. The pool was never crowded and what could be better after a swim than to curl up on a settee in one of the many appointed gazebos and catch up on some reading or just watch the world go by. All the staff at the Merit were courteous and helpful. The girls in the lobby bar and the lads serving in the pool bar always greeted us with huge smiles. Nothing was too much trouble. The Merit Crystal Cove didn't just give us a wonderful holiday, they gave us a memorable and magical holiday. Thank you everyone.
