“Back to the Merit Crystal Cove Hotel again!”

If you are looking for a luxury hotel in Northern Cyprus, you could do far worse than the Merit Crystal Cove Hotel! Having been there a couple of times, family in tow, I feel relatively confident in saying that the Crystal Cove is unlikely to disappoint. We were initially offered this hotel by our travel agent (Sue) at Gonorthcyprus.com and liked it so much we returned again!

As someone with an inclination towards having green fingers, my personal highlight was the gardens at the hotel, but I expect most of you reading this review will want to know about the more practical aspects so I'll skip my enthusing over plants for the time being.

On a more useful note, we have (on both occasions) found the standard of the living quarters very pleasing. Both mountain and sea views can be had from the location of the Crystal Cove, and nearly all of the windows face one or the other

Stays at the hotel are offered on an all-inclusive basis- personal preference comes into play here, but I find it makes things significantly less stressful not to have to worry about taking enough spare cash along to eat in local restaurants twice a day, particularly because we have a relatively large family group to pay for. Admittedly the food in some all inclusive hotels can be lackluster because they have to feed such a large volume of customers, but this hotel proved especially adept at always making sure we had access to freshly cooked (and never cold, in our experience) mixture of cuisines at a choice of three different restaurants within the hotel complex.

The swimming pools were a little full during our stay, but never so much that we were unable to swim and we were relieved to see specially designated kid's areas, which stopped us fretting over the little ones getting into trouble in the deep water.

Liked — lovely surroundings and kept clean and tidy
Disliked — pool was always quite full
