“Our Family Trip”
Due to the economic climate recently I was forced to look away from the usual suspects to choose a destination for our family holiday. We wanted something a little out of the norm but without spending too much and Europe seems to have gotten very expensive in recent times. Let's face it- you can go down the street at home to an English pub or a Macdonald's.
We were very pleased with our stay at the Manolya, to the point where we are already making plans to return there for second visit, something we have never done before. The Manolya is a small, family run hotel and rarely varies from what you would expect; not your corporate hotel chain but nice and friendly. The owner Mehmet made a concerted effort to help us all the time we were there, suggesting places to visit and things to see and all his staff were extremely pleasant and friendly, (thank you all very much).
The food was straightforward and excellently prepared, the poolside drinks were very reasonably priced in comparison with normal hotel prices and the snacks were also good value. My husband and I did a trial dive with the dive centre there and were hooked so we ended up doing our P.A.D.I.S. The instructor Jonathon was very good and extremely patient and his partner Carol was just great with our kids in the pool, I guess they will be next for the course! Mehmet and staff thanks for a lovely holiday, we may well return.
Liked — The food was great
