This is a hotel review for Manolya Hotel in Kyrenia, North Cyprus
“Nice hotel for a spring break in North Cyprus”
My friend and I come every year to Cyprus to escape the UK gloom. We read good reports of this hotel and were not disappointed. The staff made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, always asked if we needed anything. Mehmet the manager seemed to be permanently on duty, always happy to help!
Our room was clean and light, and we got fresh towels everyday. I was surprised to find we had a full size fridge too, not a small mini bar.
The breakfast was continental style, although we both enjoyed having fresh omlettes cooked for us each morning, a real treat. There was fruit and meat too, even olives. There was not very much choice of dishes for dinner, but everything we had was very tasty and well cooked.
We always enjoy visiting Kyrenia, and it was very relaxing to take a taxi into the town rather than try and drive. The old part of Lapta in the mountains is very pretty with the mountain springs and not many tourists at the time of year.
For us 'oldies' the Manolya Hotel was excellent value; a nice hotel in the sunshine with friendly staff, within our budget.
Liked — friendly welcome
Disliked — would have liked more choice at dinner
