This hotel seems well overrated to us. No drinks nor food whatsoever are allowed into the bedrooms. Not even a bottle of water! Travelling with a small child, this really isn't ideal! We've stayed in many hotels across the globe and we had never come across such a strict rule! My husband got stopped at the elevators because of a bottle of water... We ended up with Euro 30 bill from the minibar and that was just for water, 2 cans of Fanta and 2 small bags of crisps... The food in the restaurant was decent, but again, the prices of drinks extortionate. A bottle of J.P. Chenet wine (Euro 2.95 at the local shop here) cost Euro 30!!! Another disappointment was the so-called jazz bar! We were there 2 nights and there was no music whatsoever, not even some faint background music. Even though a musician was advertised for one of the nights, it wasn't to happen. The tables in the bar all had Moevenpick ice cream menus, but when all excited (I love Moevenpick!) we ordered some ice cream, there were only 2 flavours available, and it definitely wasn't Moevenpick but rather some cheap supermarket brand. Yet the charge was steep! I thought, let's try the cocktails then! Well my cosmopolitain was vodka and lime and the Irish coffee was served sugarless but topped with whipped cream. The spa is hard to judge because practically all treatments are outsourced, so one has to book a few days in advance, not ideal for us since we only stayed a couple of nights.... The indoor pool was quite cold and the jacuzzi borderline freezing. The room itself was ok, bar the fact that it overlooked the car park! There are no bathrobes or slippers, so it is a bit of a hassle to go to the pool downstairs. Also, there are no coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms. The location isn't great either, a bit in the middle of nowhere, not quite sure who would ever want to spend a holiday there... We certainly won't go back there!
