“Spa, sunshine and pastries”
The Malpas is a really great hotel if you just want to chill out and relax. I spent most of my summer break here soaking up the sun by the pool. Hubby spent most of the time in the shade with a cool beer 'resting his eyelids'!
The Spa, Wellness and Beauty Centre was good, with a nice sauna (mixed, so take your towel), Turkish bath and steam room. Treatments were reasonably priced (seen cheaper, paid higher), and my classic full body massage very relaxing.
Our room was comfortable and had a sea view, and a good sized bathroom.
Plenty of choices for food at the Malpas, although the posh restaurant was closed. The rooftop bar was my favourite, since after the terrible British summer it was a real treat to sit outside in the evening and not get soaked!!! We went to the beach club one day and had a great lunch, but it is away from the main hotel, which took the edge off it. Loved the Cornado patisserie, as every time I walked through the lobby, I couldn't resist one of their pastries.
Overall, a great hotel just to relax and get a dose of sunshine, but those pastries can seriously damage your waistline!
