The Malpas opened 4 years ago and I have been coming here with my wife ever since. The hotel is very friendly. Any communication or service problems on first opening have been overcome and we have had a very good stay every visit. Get a sea view if you can and you'll also be impressed by the scenic Kyrenian Mountains. We really enjoyed the meals and I'd recommend the half board tariff as the most value for money.

We actually live on the south side in the Republic of Cyprus and it only takes less than an hour to drive to the north. Even so, we always feel like we've travelled abroad. The Kyrenia region has some great hotels but we always return to the Malpas as it has a certain eccentric charm. The welcoming staff and friendly atmosphere make it feel like our second home each holiday.

There is a state of the art fitness complex on the lower ground floor plus a large swimming pool with a Jacuzzi, sauna, wet rooms, and Turkish steam room. You can book massage treatments or the services of a beautician.

The hotel pool area is very big and consists of two circular adjoining pools with lots of comfy sunbeds. The pool bar and restaurant has very good service.

One of the highlights for us is the casino, which is excellent, and they don't charge for refreshments including alcohol.
