Thank you for your enquiry about our recent stay at the above hotel. I was about to write to you on that very subject. We actually booked the hotel as a result of a recommendation from friends who stayed there last year. Unfortunately, we were rather disappointed in what was supposed to be a 5 star hotel. Firstly, their Coffee maker packed up the on the first day and the day we left a man was still trying to repair it, so people were only getting just coffee. and all hot drinks had to be made using a kettle! You can, no doubt imagine how long it took to get two cups of coffee when the hotel was busy. There was apparently no reserve boiler and no one to repair or replace it. Five star, I don't think so. Mealtimes were no more impressive, It was not possible to get egg and bacon for breakfast, only omelettes. We were promised them but they were never available. The evening meals were not very good for anyone who did not like spicy meat or pasta, so we had difficulty finding something suitable for my 90 year old mother. A carvery would have been ideal. Again five star, I don't think so. Finally, the shower gel and shampoo in our rooms were never replaced when empty as you would expect in a five star hotel. Our friends assure us that this is a distinct deterioration since last year.

also we were asked to pay on the second evening for our meal,we told them we had paid and had a special deal for the evening meal, they had to check and get back to us, I had booked the rooms for all of us but it was only our room that was asked to pay.

Just so you don't think we are moaners, I have to say that the rooms were fine and the pool beautiful. the staff were very good and pleasant.
