“Great for a special occassion”

My brother and I have just returned from the Malpas Hotel after travelling to Cyprus for a family wedding. We are originally from Cyprus ourselves but left as young children so we were very excited about a chance to get back to our roots. As it was a last minute booking we didnt have much time to look around for hotels so we made our booking on the recommendation of a family member. We arrived early in the morning and we immediately noticed how fantastic the sea views were. We were even more surprised to find that both of our rooms had great coastal views with different aspects.

Althought the hotel staff were mainly all local people and not all of them spoke english too well, they were very accomodating and always extremely pleased to be of help to us regardless of the problem. After we arrived I realised I had lost my toothbrush and washbag, but the hotel staff managed to find me complimentary replacements within 10 minutes, which I thought was great considering how busy they were at the time.

Most of our days were spent out with our family but I particularly liked spending the evenings relaxing in the Malpas bar. The decor was comfortable and relaxing and the whole place had a very adult and chilled out ambience which was great for a conversation and a drink. The entire hotel seemed very clean too, with no litter anywhere at all. It was clear that the staff at the Malpas really care about their reputation and work hard to make sure their guests enjoy the time they spend there.

The hotel itself seemed to be more suited to adult couples rather than big families with young children, but there is plenty to do around. I plan on returning later in the year for a longer break with my wife and I would certainly recommend the Malpas Hotel to anybody looking for a relaxing time in North Cyprus.
