I enjoyed a very relaxing 28 day stay in the Malpas Hotel in Kyrenia during the period 19 November to 17 December 2014 ..

The staff were, as ever, efficient, courteous and friendly. The Team, from the charismatic Cafer and the lovely people at reception, to the girls hiding behind in reservations, the Chefs and their staff trying to please all tastes, and the dining room supervisors and the waiters pandering to everyone's needs, to the hard working house-keeping personnel, to the bell-boys on the entrance door, the guest relation's lady ... and not forgetting the girls in the Wellness Spa, all were great and made my stay a pleasurable and memorable one!

The open breakfast and evening buffets are very good. Evening meals were very good too, hot, tasty and well presented. I'd like to praise the Master Chef and his team for a job well done.

The hotel is a good supportive and peaceful base from which to operate and enjoy your daily outings to tourist attractions. The hotel does have it's own seafront restaurant and quay a few minutes drive away. The hotel is just 10 minutes drive from Kyrenia. Taxis are reasonable at around £8- although the hotel does provide a minibus shuttle service to and from Kyrenia each day.

I am blessed to be one of the many thousands who stay at the Malpas every month and enjoy the tranquility and views. On the odd occasion I slept in and wished i had been accidentally woken up by the front desk with a phone call! I've had the pleasure of meeting many interesting and lovely people, both singles and couples, all of whom have enjoyed the experience as i have. The Hotel has also installed security cameras everywhere and have vigilant security staff headed by Mr Resat Altinor, ensuring that your time spent here is a pleasant and secure one. And the young Hotel Manager, I can assure you, does have his guests' interests uppermost in his mind!

This hotel is "value for money" ... especially some the longer stay winter deals! For those who expect a 5* everything inclusive go and find one and pay their prices!! The views from the hotel and from most of its rooms are wonderful with the lovely mountain range backdrop to the rear with the superb 180 degree views over the beautiful blue Mediterranean Sea to the front stretching towards Turkey ... You just can't help but relax!

I have already booked another 6 weeks in February and March and am really looking forward to that vacation to start my new book!
