4 Friends booked 7 days cheep break staying in 2 rooms. We arrived at midnight well after supper , we asked for a snack which was given but one our party couldn't eat it because she was a vegetarian. There was no tea making facility for a hot drink. On entering the room there was an over powering smell of damp. I rang reception to request a room change but was told that there was no manager on to deal with the change of room, there was also mould growing around the shower and bath spent a very uncomfortable night.

Before breakfast the next day we complained and the room was changed it appeared clean on the surface but the bolster on the bed was dirty the curtains to the outside balcony was dirty. For a 5 star hotel there was a vase of dead lilies in the entrance hall which was only changed after 3 days.

The staff was generally helpful especially the chambermaids the bar staff the dining room staff especially the manager named Mehmet who went that extra mile to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

It was one our parties birthday so we booked an evening meal at a restaurant belonging to the hotel which was a disaster the food was poor we asked for the cold mezes to be removed ate some of the hot mezes, but left when one our party went to the toilet and there was no water to was his hands .

Would I stay at Malpas again possibly if the above concerns are addressed it is a lovely location for a nice quiet break with easy access to Kyrena town.
