Malpas Hotel Review - 13 of 154 Reviews

My husband, I, and my two teenage boys stayed at Malpas Hotel for a week. This was not our first trip to Kyrenia. We stayed at other hotels, but found them lacking. We found the hotel to have some bad reviews, but the hotel was nothing like the reviews we read. Instead we were given a free upgrade on our first night. The food was always varied and very tasty. As a vegetarian I still found plenty to eat. Our lovely double room looked over the pool and sea. We also had a separate room for our children.

Several evenings the jazz bar had live music. They also had live music in the restaurant during the evenings. The pool was a beautiful location for sunbathing, but the water was too cold. The pool is not heated outside. The indoor pool was a very decent temperature. Since we were not there during high season the hotel and pool may be more crowded at other times. The only problem with the hotel was their drinks. Their drinks were very expensive. It was also hard to get from the hotel to surrounding areas, which meant we needed a car. The hotel was cheaper for food than other restaurants in the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful the entire time. The rooms were always kept clean. The value, rooms, location, and cleanliness will definitely have us returning. In fact we cannot wait to return this year for another lovely stay.
