Kaya Artemis Resort Hotel Review - 8 of 16 Reviews

We booked a week's visit to this resort hotel in Jan through GoNorthCyprus. If you're planning to visit this area (Famagusta) we'd definitely recommend them before using high-street chains, it was a much more personal and straightforward service.

It was advertised as a five star hotel and the pictures on the website seemed in keeping with what you'd expect from an establishment of that calibre. Our first impression was similarly reassuring- the main building is a triumph of interior design and although the faux pillars on the exterior are a bit much for my tastes, when you're spending that amount of money you expect some pomp to go with it.

The service we got on arrival was a little rushed but very friendly although we carried our own cases past a group of fairly athletic looking members of staff and into the hotel - so they must have been having a crazy day. We were reliably informed that the accommodation we'd be staying in was actually slightly removed from the main site. Naturally this set off some alarm bells for me, being familiar as I am with the ins and outs of the hotel trade, but there was no need to worry and we were really happy with the accommodation standard.

The hotel beach is very nice but unfortunately the bar wasn't open all the times. I imagine in the busy summer months it must be fantastic. That said, we had a really relaxing time here and would certainly consider coming back in the warmer months. Car is essential if you want to explore
