“The hotel was excellent apart from the rooms”

I stayed at the Kaya Artemis Resort as a bonus from work (lucky I know) and had an excellent stay. My company always book through Gary or Sue as they are really good at matching your interests the hotel in which you stay. The Kaya Artemis Resort had all of the facilities you would expect from a 5 star hotel, with plush décor, particularly in the communal areas. You are definitely impressed when you walk in.

Although the majority of the Kaya Artemis is remarkable, the rooms don't quite match up to the standard. My room was very clean and spacious, but I felt that the décor and furnishings were rather simple for a 5 star hotel. For me and my wife, our room is probably the most important part of our stay, because if we don't get a good night's sleep, we can't fully appreciate and enjoy our holiday.

My wife used the spa on several occasions and she found it incredibly relaxing. We also had two nights in the casino which we thoroughly enjoyed! The resort definitely has a lot to offer its guests!

We really enjoyed the hotel food. The breakfast buffet had a great variety to choose from and hot food was kept hot! (Cold food is a bugbear of mine!) Dinner was excellent too. It was tasty and well presented with a really good choice.

The highlight of our holiday was the beautiful scenery in the Famagusta area. The beaches had pure, golden sands and a sparkly sea and there were so many historical sights to visit, as well as wonderful restaurants and cafes. The only thing negative is the fact that the hotel resort is quite far from the nearest town.

If visiting North Cyrus again, I cannot guarantee that I would stay at the Kaya Artemis simply because of how basic the bedrooms were in comparison with the rest of the hotel. However, if you are more concerned with enjoying yourself and eating good food, this would be the hotel for you!
