“Jasmine Court Hotel - A place to stay!”
I stayed at the Jasmine Court Hotel, north cyprus with my elderly mother, who is disabled, and I was amazed at how helpful the staff was and how genuinely concerned they were for our well-being. They really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. They were very solicitous, offering everything from help with our luggage to wheelchair assistance for my mother.
The hotel itself, while not overly impressive from the outside, offered very spacious and comfortable rooms. Even the standard rooms offer seating areas in addition to beds. We were in a suite, and we found it to be elegant and very spacious. In addition to a living room area with a large, L-shaped couch, our suite also had a dining table that seated 6, fridge, and separate bedroom and bathroom.
The layout of the Jasmine Court Hotel is great for anyone who is disabled, offering ramp areas for wheelchair ease, and gently sloping sidewalks. The pool is a gradual slope too, instead of a steep drop-off, which we appreciated. It was possible to get around pretty much everywhere without needing to climb steps.
The food was excellent in the hotel and the North Cyprus region in general actually!, With my mother's limited mobility, we found it easier to eat there instead of elsewhere, so we appreciated having three restaurants to choose from. The Terrace serves a large buffet every night and as the buffet items change daily, you won't get bored with the selections. Two other restaurants, one poolside and the other oceanside, offer fish and kabab selections. Both are great for quick, light lunches while at the pool or beach. There's also an ice cream machine poolside, which we enjoyed as a delicious treat after lunch or a mid-afternoon snack during the heat of the day.
A couple of times, we took taxis into town and visited the harbor area in the Northern Cyprus town of Kyrenia. There's also a courtesy bus that takes visitors into town several times a day, but due to the steep steps, we were unable to use it. However, for anyone not disabled, it's a free ride into town – an extra perk for hotel guests.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and we expect to stay here again on our next trip. In my opinion, it's the best hotel in this area.
