I have stayed at the Sempati several times and each time I seem to enjoy myself more than the time before. It's my favorite hotel in North Cyprus. In fact, after my husband and I stayed here the first time, we said to each other that we'll never stay anywhere else. First of all, the place is family owned and operated and they really take pride in their establishment. They employ several outside staff members and they obviously treat them very well. The staff seems genuinely happy to work here. We see the same employees time after time when we come here, so obviously they like working here well enough to stay a long time.

The rooms are quite nice and very clean. The views from all the rooms are good. You get either a mountain view or else an ocean view no matter which room you are in. No views of dumpsters or back alleys here. The pool is large and well-maintained. There's a large area for sunbathing. Since the Hotel Sempati is right on the water, we were able to swim in the ocean as well.

The dining room caters to all tastes pretty much, so if you like local cuisine, you can get it, or you can get English food if you prefer. We enjoy being able to order our favorite English dishes at lunchtime, then ordering local cuisine at dinner. It's a nice mix.

This hotel is one of the quieter ones around, which suits us well as we like peace and quiet, but we did bring our teenage daughter with us once and she found others her age to hang around with. We also brought along my mother once and she enjoyed herself as well. The Sempati is one of those places where all age groups can enjoy themselves. It doesn't cater to one certain age group, which we appreciate.

There's really nothing I dislike about the Hotel Sempati, but if I were to have to list a complaint, I'd have to say the bar drinks are a bit pricey. We always appreciate good value and in our opinion the beverages are overpriced. However, that's only one negative in the face of so many positives, so if I were asked whether or not to recommend this place to others, I'd say definitely yes. It's absolutely our favorite place to stay and we come back year after year.
