Hotel Club Z Review - 6 of 21 Reviews

Ok here goes, I just returned from Kyrenia where myself and my hubby had booked a stay at the Hotel Club Z. The reason we chose this particular place was due to its very reasonable prices, even though some of the reviews we read weren't exactly gleaming we thought it was fair to give it a go. Having stayed for 2 weeks we do agree with some of the other reviewers about the negative points they made but there's also some good things going for this place too.

Inside the hotel could really do with a spruce up. Nothing major id like to add, but a fresh lick of paint and maybe some newer furniture might really push the first impression thing a bit further than it currently does. There are both rooms and villas available but we opted for a standard room, which we found acceptably clean. My hubby is very particular and this must be a good sign that he didn't complain! We did notice hotel cleaning staff every day too which also sent out a good message about the standards.

As we got a good deal when booking we simply cant complain about the value for money aspect of things. We've travelled to North Cyprus before ans both find it a pleasant and enjoyable place to stay for a week or two, even in the off season. The hotel is a short walk from the town of Kyrenia and there were places to eat a bit closer than that. For those who enjoy a walk, it was a great place. A restaurant called the Seles is one of our favourites that we would recommend visiting if you get the chance to stay here.

We also had the use of a nice clean pool, but decided to give it a miss this time of year. We met a couple from Britain who were staying in a villa and they showed us their room too. They had a veranda and balcony, so that option is something to think about when you decide to book. My husband and I wanted this trip to relax for a week or two after our youngest daughters marriage which was hectic! And that's just what we got. Apart from the slightly dated décor in need of a spruce I thought this place was very pleasant. It wasn't the Ritz, but it never claimed to be either, so all in all a happy couple back from an enjoyable trip to North Cyprus.
