Cratos Premium Hotel Review - 7 of 29 Reviews

Although the fire in this hotel was on saturday 21st, and we didnt arrive until monday 23rd May, no attempt to contact us either by phone or email was received regarding the fire and if we would prefer alternative accommodation.

When we arrived tired from journey we were informed at the desk that they had a problem with electricity, which may only be on a couple of hours at a time. We were then shown, I presume, a superior room and asked would we like to stay with them.

We were offered the COlony or Rocks hotel. As I had spent literally hours chosing this hotel I was most annoyed that we hadnt been informed in advance, especially since we had to drive to the far side of Kyrenia through busy traffic to reach this hotel (we drove from the south of the island).

They did, however, give us free lunch (which was most disappointing in quality) which we made up our minds. We were then informed the COlony was full so we chose Rocks. We then had to drive all the way to the other side of Kyrenia (exhausted).

While I accept that they could not control the event of the fire, I would say that the electric cables laid on the floors everywhere were a danger to anyone staying there (especially towards the Spa which was lit only by candlelight).

We had looked forward to indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and beachfront location.

The Rocks was excellent, both in service, quality of food and pool area. However, the sauna was not working and there was no indoor pool or jacuzzi. The gym also looked well fitted out.

Disliked — no advance information about the electricity problem
