Cratos Premium Hotel Review - 1 of 29 Reviews

My boyfriend treated me to a stay at the Cratos Hotel just before Christmas, and I really didn't know where I was staying until we got to the airport. The Cratos certainly looks impressive after the rather dusty road leading to it, and I felt like a celeb as the staff rushed to greet us and take our luggage! The Cratos is pure bling inside, all gleaming marble and sweeping staircases, and our room was surprisingly big too, with lots of designer furniture and a really comfy big bed.

My bf had also booked me a Klapp Herbal body massage (his sense of humour to give me something with Klapp in the name…) which actually was really relaxing and my skin felt great afterwards. Bf rated the gym (well stocked), the North Shield pub (ditto), and the late breakfast buffet!

The Port Cratos beach area is probably nice in summer, but in winter it's just a dark gravelly beach backed by franchise-style restaurants, with all the atmosphere of a shopping centre. We had much more fun at Kyrenia harbour eating at a fish restaurant and drinking at a couple of local bars before catching a taxi back .

To be honest, the Cratos is all about showing off how much cash you have to spend. The staff were really friendly to us until a high roller walked in, and then it was all hands on deck to serve them as much as possible. The casino itself was completely bonkers, with an Egyptian style hall and acres of crystal, and I gather they have some amazing people perform there.

We had a relaxing time at the Cratos, and it was always a laugh, and we got a lot for our money.
