Colony Hotel Review - 50 of 98 Reviews

We cannot thank enough both The Colony Hotel and "Go North Cyprus" for the brilliant week spent at the Colony Hotel. I wish I could send a damming report on both, BUT HOW CAN YOU MOAN ABOUT A PERFECT BREAK. The collection from the aeroport in a air-conned taxi (not having to wait for the "Travel Bus")should have given us a clue as to what we were to expect. Upon arrival at the Colony we were greeted by a doorman who ushered us through the hotel booking in and straight up to room. (and what a room). All the brochures were dead on with the promised facilities, a large cleaned room (daily)was big enough to have a party in and the balcony was as large as some of the some of the rooms we have stayed in. The foyer led on to the dinning room where we were served with the most amazing selection of food for breakfast.( It was worth going just for the breakfast.)

Then look for the roof top pool area....Great view with on the the great sunbathing areas (all towels supplied)and after a long rest,we went to the sauna/turkish bath & jacuzzi area most afternoons using these facilities and having a relax in the quiet area.(A pity that the exercise zone was not in my sights as i'm more of a sloth than Usane Bolt) Pop into the relaxing lounge area for a cup of tea in the afternoon set us up for the evenings.

Even on the last day we were asked to vacate room by 1.00 p.m. but all the facilities were open to us until our collection later in the day,which was a welcome finish to a great week in THE COLONY HOTEL

A very slight drawback was some of the staff's English was a bit lacking but who's moaning.

Would recommend this hotel without hesitation as it lived up to the star rating it has.

Liked — nothing to compain about
Disliked — Prices of the soft drinks were the same as the beer
