Citrus Tree Gardens Review - 2 of 29 Reviews

As im now retired my friend and I decided we'd take a relaxing trip to Kyrenia for a few days before the UK holiday season really picks up and it all gets a bit busy for our liking. We had both visited before and really loved our stays so I got online and started to google reviews of hotels that we may like. The Citrus Tree Gardens appeared several time with some pretty good reviews so I thought this would be as good a place to stay as any other. We had tried to book a bungalow all on one level with as few a steps as possible as due to my age im not too keen on too many steps. Unfortunately when we turned up we found that although quite flat, the bedroom was upstairs which posed a bit of a difficulty. I'm not a fan of complaining so I thought i'd just mention it to the staff when passing but to my surprise they took it very seriously and by the time we returned from our day out we had been allocated another room and the staff simply could not apologise enough.

We went out early in the evening for food and tried several different restaurants. A place called the severner was a favorite of ours as it was relaxed and cheerful. The staff were pleasant and the food was reasonably priced and tasted good too. Another one we visited twice was the Saint Tropez. This was slightly more expensive than the others but as a treat it was a good place to go and get great food. These are just a few of our favorite ones but the choice is huge and there are so many places to try. We were lucky with the weather and it was lovely for our whole stay. I'd expect anybody who visits and stays at the Citrus Tree to have a lovely time and recommend it whole-heartedly, it really is a happy place to take a few days in the sunshine and relax.
