“A Very Relaxing Visit”

We have just gotten home after 12 days at the Citrus Tree Gardens and have nothing but praise for the place. It was our first visit to N Cyprus and the delightful CTG made it a lovely experience. Nothing was too much effort when it came to making our stay as comfortable as possible, made very evident when we arrived shortly before midnight, obviously tired, and straight after check-in were offered something to eat and drink even though the food service stopped at 21:30.

Accommodation consists of bungalows set in a series of picturesque gardens around the pool, complete with lounge, kitchenette and bathroom downstairs and a sleeping gallery upstairs, more than enough for the 2 of us; there are also a couple of units with an extra bedroom for families. The kitchen (like most holiday units in Mediterranean countries) has 2 hotplates, sink and fridge and 2 of crockery/cutlery items, but if we wanted anything else we only had to ask for it.

We had the option (luckily) of renting a water cooler for a one-off payment, and it proved an invaluable tool for staving off the extremely high temperature of the daytimes. The hotel is very well presented and maintained, with the room cleaned every day and linens and towels changed every half-week. The gardens are perfectly kept, - each patio (with table, chairs and drying rack) is shaded by flower-filled trees. The hotel supplies towels for use round the pool, and there are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for shade.

What sets this particular hotel apart from most of the other places we've stayed in Cyprus was the staff - without exception they are friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. If you're looking for clubs and casinos and a wild night out, this is probably not the place to stay, but if you like somewhere comfortable with a nice pool, peace and quiet and very helpful staff, then this is the place for you.
