British Hotel Review - 14 of 46 Reviews

We recently stayed at the British Hotel in a first floor room with a terrace view. I was quite pleasantly surprised at how nice the place was, considering it had only a 2 star rating. Our room was spotless, nicely furnished and had modern shower facilities. Our rooms were cleaned daily and the maids offered us fresh towels twice a day. We couldn't have asked for better service. Our terrace faced the sea, so we had a really nice view of the harbour and of several restaurants that sat on the water. Our room also contained a mini bar, which was refilled upon request, as well as tea and coffee making facilities.

Breakfast was included with our room rate, and included traditional Turkish fare, which was quite good, although eggs and cereal were available upon request. The servers were efficient and friendly and offered us extras on everything. In fact, we'd asked for an iron and were told if we'd bring whatever we needed ironed with us to breakfast, they would iron it for us while we ate! Talk about service! By the time we were finished with breakfast, our neatly ironed clothes were returned to us on hangers, ready to wear.

The hotel boasts a roof terrace, great for hanging out and enjoying cocktails or conversation, and includes a nice view of the harbour and castle. The staff was more than happy to bring us drinks to the terrace and they made sure we had refills when needed.

The location of the hotel is great. It's within walking distance to restaurants, shops, the harbour, and many other places of interest. Needless to say, we were never bored with this hotel and I enjoyed my stay here immensely. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to others.
