Bogaz Hotel Review - 4 of 10 Reviews

I decided to visit Cyprus after spending a few hours trawling through reviews on line and finally deciding to book at the Bogaz Hotel. Initially I was a little confused as there seemed to be a two trains of thoughts, either love it or hate it! Then I noticed that the 'love it' reviews were generally quite recent, so I decided I'd give the Bogaz Hotel a fair chance and booked up. When we arrived it was really obvious that this hotel had experienced a big makeover in the last few years and the results were really pleasing. There's now a beautiful large reception lounge to welcome guests and also an indoor pool which I'm told is a new addition. Our room was a simple but very comfortable one, with all the modern amenities you would expect to find in a mid range hotel of this type. There was one big surprise though, There was a fantastic view out across the Mediterranean sea which was a lovely sight to wake up to each day. The children were well catered for too, with a beach in a very close proximity. It was also very clean and well kept. As for the hotel staff, they were genuinely helpful, pleasant mannered and very friendly towards everyone. The majority of the staff also spoke very good English, which is always nice for tourists in another country. We ate in the hotel on most days and the food wasn't excellent, but it certainly wasn't anything to complain about either. Its was however very clean and hygienic, which is obviously the most important thing for your family when you're abroad. I'd recommend to anybody that they visit the Bogaz hotel if they're after a holiday in North Cyprus, though I think it would suit a young family rather than a couple looking to get away for a quiet few days in the sun.
