Bogaz Hotel Review - 1 of 10 Reviews
This is a hotel review for Bogaz Hotel in Famagusta, North Cyprus
“Bog awful”
Just returned from a week at the Bogaz and really glad to be home! Our first room was horrible - broken door lock, dirty carpet, torn curtains, plastic chairs on the balcony that were water-stained and grubby, dodgy power sockets, and a bathroom where the only thing that didn't leak was the toilet. Even the minibar was mouldy!
After the first night, we asked to be moved to a seaview room, which they did. This room had less problems and was in better condition, but was still not very clean and the bathroom door did not close properly. Staff tried to be helpful but obviously were used to complaints and having to fix things on the fly.
Breakfast was dire, but we were on B&B so we ate out - no decent choice of restaurants locally but OK ones nearer Famagusta and in Kyrenia, which is a drive but worth it.
Road outside the hotel busy, noisy and dusty, main commuter route to the south. Bar/disco/club noisy at night and most mornings the beach is covered with bottles from the night before.
Horrible hotel - don't bother.
