We stayed at the Bella View Hotel recently in Northern Cyprus and I really loved it. I found it to be very peaceful and relaxing and it's located in a really beautiful spot. The hotel staff are great. They were very helpful and even arranged a rental car for us during our stay. We loved the breakfasts in the hotel dining room. They serve a variety of breakfast styles to suit everyone's taste, from local fare to traditional English breakfasts. The only thing we felt was lacking was the fresh squeezed juice we're used to back home; other than that, it was all wonderful food and prepared just the way we asked.

Most days, we spent our mornings by the pool soaking up some North Cyprus sun. The pool is sparkling clean and quite tranquil in the mornings, and my favorite thing about it was that it wasn't overcrowded. In the afternoons, we sometimes drove around sightseeing in our rental car, or walked to the nearby town of Kyrenia. The car rental was a great idea, as it enabled us to see more of the island than we otherwise would have. The driving was easy enough and traffic not too heavy. We drove all the way around the island and was amazed at the spectacular scenery. This place is truly beautiful!

A couple of times we walked into Kyrenia to sightsee and eat. The walk is nice, but it takes about an hour and it's downhill all the way there, which means it's a good idea to take a taxi back, so you won't have to walk uphill for an hour. We also visited Bellapais abbey, which is only a few minutes' walk from the hotel, and they have plenty of good places to eat and drink there too. We ate dinner only one night at the Bella View hotel and although the food was delicious, it was a bit more expensive than the dining places in town, so most nights we walked or drove somewhere else to eat. Either way, it's a great place to stay and if you happen to be on a budget and can't afford the expensive dinners at the hotel, the numerous nearby restaurants make eating out very easy to do.

Overall, I'd have to give the Bella View Hotel high marks in every category. It's a truly enjoyable place to stay and I hope we get to visit North Cyprus again sometime.
