Bella View Hotel Review - 24 of 38 Reviews

We have recently stayed at the lovely Bella View Hotel of which the turkish traditional style, designed by the owner's wife, is much more charming than depicted online. The reception areas open out onto a very good pool with it's attractive and plentiful sunbathing areas to enjoy; including the tucked away 'crazy golf' which was fun after a swim. In our view the hotel has one of the best and most enviable positions in the Kyrenia area, nestling just under Bellapais abbey and village with it's surrounding excellent restaurants, yet so close to Kyrenia. Being away from the main roads, the hotel enjoys a quieter position, exuding a wonderful tranquil ambience. It is also geographically usefully placed when visiting the East and West coastal and mountain areas of North Cyprus without having to go into town. From the hotel there are views across to the mountains, sea, Kyrenia and even Turkey on a clear day. The guest rooms are well proportioned and beds very comfortable which was thankful! One of our party enjoyed a sea view whilst we had a mountain view which was fine and more secluded.

The hotel was charming and friendly and although small, felt spacious and light, with it's balustrade stairways and attractive seating and dining areas. The staff were also very affable and helpful including Memet and his colleague Leyla, who were exceptional and exemplar of good waitressing and service.

The breakfasts were taken mostly outside where there was plenty of help at hand, especially needed for one of our party who was on crutches. They consisted of hot and cold buffet although ham and bacon were available at an extra charge. We also enjoyed a very decent omelette and other concoctions of egg dishes which the chefs were very happy to make. We dined in the hotel three times which was very useful and so we enjoyed the best of both worlds enjoying the local restaurants also, being on a bed and breakfast basis.

We hired a car, but with the provision of the hotel's shuttle bus twice daily and Bellapais restaurants complimentary taxi service, we would have hired it for fewer days to visit further afield. We would certainly recommend the Bella view Hotel for a relaxing stay in beautiful North Cyprus.
