Bella View Hotel Review - 19 of 38 Reviews

I've stayed in North Cyrpus with a few friends before but wanted to take my husband for a quiet getaway so chose something (with the help of Gary from Go North Cyprus.com) that wasn't situated within one of the towns. We went for the Bella View hotel which is marketed as a boutique hotel and although it isn't boutique in a luxurious sense, its small, peaceful and very well run.

The best thing about the hotel is its location. It is situated within the stunning five finger mountains and is only 15 minutes from the historic town of Bellapais, with its interesting Abbey. The hotel also runs a shuttle bus service to Kyrenia (one of the larger towns.) This gave us the best of both worlds as we could stay in peace and quiet but also enjoy seeing the sights whenever we wanted. We will definitely be returning to the Bellapais area as it's beautiful.

Our hotel room was really comfortable and very well equipped, with a fair sized en suite. The mountain view from our room was a real highlight. We stayed for dinner, bed and breakfast because we knew that we were in sort of isolation from most local restaurants. The evening menu had a good selection and everything was freshly cooked and freshly prepared. You had to pay extra in the mornings for a full English, which my husband did and I didn't.

Because the Bella View Hotel is small, you can tell that the staff really care for their guests' needs and this really appealed to us. We're not keen on larger hotels and like something with a bit of character, which this hotel definitely had!

The hotel grounds were beautiful, with stunning flowers. The hotel pool also looked really clean but swimming isn't really our thing.

I wouldn't hesitate to book another trip to Bellapais and would most definitely stay at the Bella View again. In fact, we're considering recommending it to our close friends who are looking to go abroad later this year.
