My husband and I visited the Almond Holiday Village for our anniversary holiday. It was just what we needed, and I am glad we chose this resort instead of one of the big hotels in another area. The owners really went out of their way to be welcoming, which is a big change from most hotel resorts that we have been to. No cheesy reps! The hotel is family run which made us feel like we were staying at a friend's place instead of a hotel, and it would make me feel like our kids were safer if we came again on a family holiday. Our room had a stunning view of the breathtaking mountain scenery, and the setting in the gardens with all of the lovely flowers made it even more romantic. We ate in the hotel restaurant, and had some really lovely meals. We were never rushed, and it felt like a real restaurant rather than just a 'place to eat' like some hotel restaurants feel. We really loved this place and will probably come back in the future with our two children, as it would be an ideal place for them too. Not easy to find a holiday place that suits us as well as the kids!
