In 2005 we, as a family with teenagers, stopped here for a drink on an eastwardly exploration drive. Since then I have been trying to find the hotel again, with a view to staying there. Just by chance in spring 2011, I found what I thought was the place and emailed a few question off to see if I was right. I was, and my husband and I returned in the summer as we now enjoy holidays alone again. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner. We chose to eat in at the hotel most nights as we have been to North Cyprus many times and find the heat in Kyrenia quite stifling at night. Whereas, by the sea at the hotel at night it was a lot cooler. Each night my husband enoyed freshly cooked vegetarian meal, and all the food we ate was lovely. The holiday apartments were clean and we had everything we needed. A small problem occurred with the tv and it was fixed immediately. The complex was clean and tidy, the pool was great, lots of shade to get out of the sun, the beach area was being revamped but we still used it and had great fun. All the staff were friendly, and helpful. Nothing is too much bother for anyone. They all put their guests first..I would recommend Alkan Holiday Village to friends, family and anyone else who wants to listen !
