Acapulco Beach Club Hotel Review - 26 of 127 Reviews

Hotel was initially hard to find owing to lack of clear signs on the main road. Parking areas were not marked so it was difficult to know where to leave the car & the security chap did not speak English. Check in was very slow as there was 1 employee to attend to several people. Although a 5-star hotel there was no offer of help with our bags. The room was nicely decorated & large but the loud noise from extraction units in the building opposite the room made it impossible to have the balcony door open at night. There was no table on the balcony & both chairs were broken. Although there was writing paper in the room, there was no pen or pencil - very odd in a 5-star establishment. The resort covers a large area & has several restaurants & bars but there was no site map showing what was where. It was trial & error to find the way to the pool & beach from our room. Breakfast & dinner were self-service buffets. Breakfast was excellent, with the exception of cereals. Hotel charged extra for fresh orange juice, which we thought was very mean indeed. The diluted squash in the self-service machines was awful (deliberately perhaps?) so we just had water. At dinner the choices for starters were excellent, with lots of local meze & salads. However, the choices for main course were very very poor if you don't eat meat and absolutely awful if you don't eat fish either. Pool & beach were good. The on-site water park was fun. Public areas were sumptuous. Staff generally efficient & friendly. The local entertainment on the terrace in the evenings was nice but did sound a bit like karaoke at times. Would definitely stay there again.

Disliked — Noise from extraction units. Lack of site signage.
