This is a hotel review for Acapulco Beach Club Hotel in Kyrenia, North Cyprus
“Beautiful sea, hard working staff, good food”
This club hotel has everything one would expect from a relaxing and nice holiday resort. All of the staff is very hard working and helpful. You do see them working all day long! The hotel is very clean, the rooms are furnished with modern furniture, TV, hair drier, fridge, all available. The rooms are really good sized. We stayed 3 adults in a room, and didn't feel on top of each other at all! It has been cleaned very well every day, given fresh towel. Also, the hotel gives you beach towels that you can change everyday. The food is really good, all open buffet and full of different variety every night and full fresh. Even they just cook some stuff in front of your eyes. The cooks are amazing!
I think the best thing about this hotel is which most of other hotels in cyprus don't have is, they own their own bay with the best part of the beach. The sea is really nice and the beach and sand is very clean and nice, all private! The whole resort is spreaded on a bay with hotel, beach, swimming pool and restaurants. You can either have beach beds on the beach or on grass, or by the pool which is huge and these are close to each other like steps. You can get of sea and jump into the pool straight away by walking few steps.
The only thing I wasn't happy about the hotel is the slides in the swimming pool! They are not up-to-date. There is real danger to get hurt on them. I hit my elbow and my mom hit her head and fainted in the pool! She was getting almost drawn! So do not use them at all! Also, the hotel doesn't have a full time doctor, they just have a nurse who was on her off day when my mom got really that day! We had to take her to emergency by ourselves eventhough we asked for a taxi from the hotel after figuring out, the nurse wasn't in! The management just showed little interest when this accident happened in their pool but after seeing the person alive, they didn't care at all! They just said the nurse is not in that day and they have taxis in front of the hotel if we wish to take her to the hospital!!! And we did take her to the hospital by ourselves! But we weren't provided a taxi as we told. We just got into one of the taxis that always wait in front of the hotel and paid ourselves. The management showed little interest what so ever after all, eventhough this happened because of their slides. So, the hotel management doesn't really care if you get sick, if you need any help in terms of health! Also, another incident happened after this when we were staying. A guy got really drunk and probably got into alcohol coma after drinking in the hotel's casino for a while by the swimming pool. Eventhough the famous nurse was called to see him, she just checked his blood pressure and let him to stay by the pool when it was 32C by the pool! After like an hour, I believe his situation was worsen and they had to call an ambulance to take him to emergency!! So basically, if you have any health problems, do not go to this hotel, if you do, you would be doing that on your own risk and don't expect to receive any help from the hotel!
The last thing is hotel's lunch restaurant prices are ridiculously expensive. They are triple the price of outside which is a day light rubbery and there is no other market or restaurant by a walking distance to the hotel.
Liked — Hard working staff, cleaness, food, sea and swimming pool
Disliked — Slides, hotel management, restraunt prices
