Acapulco Beach Club Hotel Review - 22 of 127 Reviews

Took the family to the Acapulco, which were stressed-out husband AJ, two girls under 4 Ellie and Hanna, and me, their dog-tired Mum! We chose a bungalow for mroe space, and it was a wise choice - plenty of room, cool in the hot weather and very clean thanks to the maid who never seemed to mind if the girls left their stuff everywhere!

Ellie and Hanna made lots of friends playing at the Aquapark, posh name for slides and pools, but the kids loved it. I liked the beach with its sun loungers and my hubby spent several hours propping up the beach bar talking football..

Food buffet looked amazing, tasted good and the girls thought it was heaven to be able to choose what they wanted to eat AND have desserts too. Yes, like other reviews I've read, we did have to buy water from local shops and bring it in to the hotel, but I expect to that these days even in the UK!

We made a family trip into Kyrenia one day, which was easy using the hotel's bus, and much better than driving and trying to park. The girls liked the harbour area and playing princesses on the top of Kyrenia Castle, now a museum with an interesting display of an ancient shipwreck, which held our attention if not theirs. We had a good lunch right on the harbour and the waiters made a real fuss of the girls, which reduced them to silly giggles most of the meal! Other guests we talked to hired a car to see more of North Cyprus, but we went for a rest so we found just slobbing around the hotel most of the time perfect for us.

I think what made the holiday such a success too was the fact that it's only a short transfer time to the Acapulco from Ercan airport. (Ellie has been boasting ever since we came back that she had been to Turkey AND North Cyprus because the plane touches down in Istanbul.)
