Acapulco Beach Club Hotel Review - 13 of 127 Reviews

We were not 100% sure of visiting North Cyprus or a beach resort hotel like the Acapulco in February, but we're really glad we did. The Acapulco's nice sandy beach was clean, and although swimming was decidedly for the brave, the sunshine was lovely for just sitting and relaxing, (not so good if the wind was blowing). I also enjoyed just sitting in the bungalow and reading a book, something I just don't seem to find time for at home, despite being retired!

Our bungalow was clean, neat and perfectly comfortable for a week in the winter sun, with everything we needed. We used the hotel proper quite a lot, for drinks at the bar, swimming in the indoor pool, and for our meals. I thought the food was a bit unimaginative, standard hotel fare, but there was certainly plenty of it, and I admit by the end of the holiday my husband was tucking into large platefuls with the best of them!

The spa was certainly popular with the other ladies I met at the Acapulco, and those who had been to other spas in North Cyprus said it was very good. I enjoyed my massage, which was not cheap but worth it, although how people can spend all day inside a spa when there is so much of North Cyprus to explore is quite beyond me!

We took the bus into Kyrenia, which was just as lovely as we had remembered it, although expanding rapidly outwards with new buildings and apartments. We also hired a car for a couple of days, and enjoyed driving the near-empty roads, such a change from the UK.

Overall, a nice, relaxing stay.
