One of the best things about the hotel was the sauna and swimming pool. Disapointingly our room was not withn the hotel so I had to walk some way outside after a sauna and swim etc sometimes when it was quite cold and windy.

Also locaton was not bad, out of the main town but only a 15-20 minute walk into the harbour, which was good. The hotel were suppsoed to provide a shuttle into town but we never saw this....

The following comments are made thinking we were heading to a plush 5* hotel for our wedding anniversary and maybe why we were more dissapointed then usual............................

Whilst the hotel is rated 5* we would rate it at a 3 for the accommodation. Whlst the rooms are n a mondern decor they need a freshen up, there were cracks and loose "bits" to be found. For those of you who speak only english unfortunatly there was no english TV.

Also the hotel reception area could not be classed at 5* it also needed a good scrub here and there and some freshening up. The mrrors in the escalators were cracked and at one time the escalaor was out of action and we had to walk 4 flghts of stairs...

The staff were not unfriendly, we had an issue when we frst arrieved our room was not ready.. so we had to wait 1/2 hour for them to clean the room... it would have been welcoming to have been offered a drnk from the bar or even a tea or coffee on the house for the wait but this was not forthcoming...

Food wise, we enjoyed the frst couple of days for breakfast however dinner after 2-3 nights became borng as it was the same buffet almost everynight and I am sure some of the breakfast appeared as cold additions in the evening... Also the evenng food was often dried out. Ths being so for 2 evenings we chose to eat away from the hotel.

Unfortunaly whilst we will go to Kyrenia again we will not be staying at the Vouni....
