Villa Club Holiday Village Review - 2 of 19 Reviews

We visit the Villa Club most years at the tail end of the holiday season. Our friends often ask why we don't branch out and try a new destination (or at least a different hotel in Kyrenia) but we operate a strict “if it's not broken, don't fix it” policy in our family. Frankly, we've never been given any reason to go further afield for our holiday needs and after our last visit (October 2013) we thought we'd better make the effort to mention publicly what a great place this is.

As regulars, we always receive an exceptionally warm welcome from the staff at the Villa Club. We also know from many conversations with new visitors that we're not the only ones. It should be a given, but it makes a huge difference to feel that your visit and hard-earned cash is genuinely appreciated by the people who're serving you and that is certainly the case here. The facilities are more than adequate for our small family- all the creature comforts from home are available which I imagine makes things comfortable for those on slightly extended stays (we've only ever stayed for 10 nights which is hardly enough time to get homesick!). The wi-fi connectivity in the hotel is very good too if you need to get online in a hurry.

Hygiene is of a high standard too- the pool stands out in my memory because I'm always suspicious of any standing water but I've never seen it anything other than spotless. No mean feat when there are children in the vicinity.

There's very good access to the local beach and several restaurants if you're on foot, but a bus trip is necessary if you're going into the town centre. This isn't a major problem as they run very regularly but it warrants a mention.
